A reputed manufacturing company specializing in Jigs, Fixtures, and Metal Equipment, operating from MIDC Ambad, Nashik. Position Overview:

The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing accurate technical drawings and design layouts for jigs, fixtures, and metal equipment. The role sits at the intersection of design and production, requiring close coordination with the manufacturing floor and occasional client-facing engagement. The ideal candidate brings hands-on CAD proficiency and an understanding of mechanical design principles applied in a production environment.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or BE Mechanical from a recognized institution
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication setup
• Proficient in CATIA and AutoCAD as primary design tools
• Working knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawing standards, and component tolerancing

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, design layouts, and assembly diagrams as per product and client specifications
• Translate design intent into production-ready documentation for jigs, fixtures, and metal components
• Coordinate closely with the production team to ensure design feasibility, resolve on-floor queries, and support smooth manufacturing execution
• Conduct client site visits when required to assess requirements, validate fitment, or support design modifications
• Maintain version-controlled design documentation and ensure drawing accuracy at all stages

Skills Required:

• Hands-on experience with CATIA and AutoCAD in a professional mechanical design environment
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and convert requirements into precise layouts
• Strong coordination skills to work effectively with production, quality, and client-facing teams
• Attention to detail in drafting, dimensioning, and ensuring design compliance with manufacturing constraints
• Willingness to travel to client locations as part of the job scope

Special Requirements:

• Candidates with prior experience in jigs, fixtures, or sheet metal/fabrication design will be preferred
• Comfort with on-site client visits is essential
• Candidates based in or willing to relocate to Nashik preferred
