Position Overview:

The Mould Designer will be responsible for developing precise and efficient mould designs that support the organization’s manufacturing operations across pulp moulding, injection moulding, and blow moulding applications. The role involves translating product specifications into robust design solutions while collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to drive cost efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
• 4 to 6 years of Relevant experience in Mould design

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for mould designs
• Develop pulp moulding solutions that improve material efficiency, cycle time, and product consistency
• Analyze product specifications and translate them into robust mould designs
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to optimize designs for cost and production efficiency
• Modify existing moulds to enhance performance or incorporate design changes
• Provide technical support during mould trials, setup, and production
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
• Stay updated with industry trends, particularly in sustainable and molded fiber technologies
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives

Skills Required:

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Practical understanding of pulp moulding processes considered an added advantage
• Strong problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment

Special Requirements:

• Experience in designing moulds for pulp moulding, injection moulding, and blow moulding applications is required.
• Proficiency in creating detailed 2D and 3D drawings.
• Hands-on experience with SolidWorks is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of mould design principles, manufacturing processes, and tooling standards.
