Company Profile:

A leading wiring harness manufacturing company specializing in the design, development, and production of high-quality cable assemblies and electrical wiring solutions for diverse industrial applications.

Position Overview:

The organization is seeking a Purchase Executive to manage end-to-end procurement of wiring harness materials, including wires, terminals, connectors, sleeves, tapes, and consumables. The role is critical to ensuring uninterrupted production through timely sourcing, vendor development, and cost-effective purchasing, while maintaining strong coordination with stores, planning, production, and accounts teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
  • 1–4 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably within the wiring harness or automotive manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end sourcing and purchasing of wiring harness materials such as wires, terminals, connectors, sleeves, tapes, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Identify and develop suppliers, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and finalize vendors based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Issue purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and coordinate with stores, planning, and production teams to prevent material shortages.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and reliability.
  • Maintain vendor records and price lists, ensure timely GRN and invoice processing with the accounts team, and support vendor performance and cost analysis reporting for the HOD.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of wiring harness materials and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in ERP/SAP systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and data management.
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills for vendor and cost evaluation, backed by effective communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendor relationships and work under tight timelines without compromising quality.
  • Detail-oriented approach with strong documentation and organizational skills.

Special Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of wiring harness materials with hands-on procurement experience.
  • Prior experience in the Wiring Harness or Automotive manufacturing industry, with exposure to sourcing and vendor management.
