Position Overview:

The Preventive Maintenance Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and uptime of SPMs, robots, conveyors, and automated production cells. The role involves diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults, driving root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures to support uninterrupted production operations.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in preventive maintenance of SPMs and automated systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for SPMs, robots, conveyors, and automated cells
  • Maintain and update maintenance records in CMMS
  • Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and sensors
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Understand and modify PLC logic for maintenance-related improvements
  • Calibrate and maintain instrumentation including proximity sensors, encoders, load cells, and vision systems
  • Overhaul gearboxes, ball screws, linear guides, and pneumatic actuators
  • Maintain electrical panels, MCCs, VFDs, and control wiring
  • Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and torque settings of mechanical assemblies
  • Prepare and maintain SOPs, checklists, and maintenance manuals
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure machine availability
  • Train junior staff on technical skills and safety procedures
  • Carry out all activities in accordance with defined EHS guidelines

Skills Required:

  • Basic knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with drives and motion control systems including VFDs and Siemens servo drives
  • Strong understanding of instrumentation including sensors (inductive, capacitive, photoelectric), actuators, and PID controllers
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems such as bearings, gearboxes, linear motion systems, and pneumatic/hydraulic circuits
  • Proficiency in electrical systems including panel wiring, MCCs, relays, contactors, and circuit breakers
  • Familiarity with software tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, CMMS, and MS Excel for maintenance analytics
  • Experience using condition monitoring tools including vibration analyzers, thermal cameras, and ultrasonic leak detectors
  • Strong understanding of machinery, equipment, and machine part functions
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings
  • Capability to perform condition monitoring and identify early signs of wear, misalignment, or inefficiency
  • Knowledge of valves, cylinders, actuators, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to identify potential hazards and failure points
  • Proficiency with hand tools including drilling, soldering, and crimping tools
  • Knowledge of lathe, surface grinding, and milling operations
  • Familiarity with measuring tools and SPM machine operation
  • Experience in fixture assembly and disassembly
  • Knowledge of seal replacement for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders or actuators

Special Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work on-site at Chh. Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad)
  • Must adhere strictly to defined EHS guidelines during all maintenance activities
  • Should be available for shift-based or flexible working hours as per production requirements
