Position Overview:

The Hydraulic and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring reliable and uninterrupted operation of injection molding and press machines through proactive maintenance, timely fault diagnosis, and systematic repair activities. The role demands strong hands-on expertise in hydraulics and mechanical systems, with a focus on minimizing downtime, improving OEE, and supporting production continuity in a structured manufacturing environment.


Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 to 4 years of hands-on experience in maintenance of injection molding and press machines

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain thermoplastic, thermoset injection, and press machines
  • Apply advanced knowledge of hydraulics, molding, and press technologies to resolve mechanical failures
  • Conduct timely preventive maintenance to optimize machine performance and ensure seamless operations
  • Record and analyze downtime data for OEE improvement initiatives
  • Identify and diagnose technical problems, repair or replace faulty components, and test equipment post-repair
  • Monitor equipment continuously and act as first line of maintenance to prevent machine downtime
  • Manage spare parts requirements and coordinate timely repair or replacement of faulty spares
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities including repairs, PM schedules, and parts usage
  • Create routine and non-routine maintenance procedures and conduct regular operator training sessions
  • Coordinate closely with the production team to ensure quick resolution of machine-related issues
  • Ensure adherence to safety requirements as per CE standards and industry guidelines
  • Apply systematic problem-solving techniques for root cause identification and resolution
  • Ensure familiarity with molding equipment such as desiccant/dehumidifier dryers, dew point controllers, MTCs, robots, and grinders
  • Carry out basic electrical maintenance activities as required
  • Assist in managing spare parts inventory and recommend stock replenishment as needed
  • Continuously evaluate equipment performance and suggest improvements for enhanced productivity
  • Ensure compliance with ISO audit frameworks including QMS, EHS, and OHSAS standards
  • Understand dimensional tolerances and implement appropriate control mechanisms

Skills Required:

  • Strong hands-on expertise in machine hydraulics and mechanical fault diagnosis and repair
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools for maintenance reporting and documentation
  • Familiarity with ISO audit frameworks including QMS, EHS, and OHSAS
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities
  • Effective communication and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Ability to train and guide machine operators on maintenance best practices

Special Requirements:

  • Must ensure maintenance conforming to set standards with minimum machine stoppages, minimal breakdowns, and on-time preventive maintenance for all plant equipment
  • Should have working knowledge of molding-related equipment including desiccant dryers, dehumidifier dryers, dew point control systems, MTCs, robots, and grinders
  • Must be capable of carrying out basic electrical maintenance activities
  • Should be able to manage and monitor spare parts inventory effectively
  • Willingness to work on-site at Chh. Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad) and adhere to all applicable safety regulations
