Position Overview:

The company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead HR operations at its manufacturing plant, encompassing the complete employee lifecycle, recruitment, statutory compliance, and employee relations. The role is central to building a compliant, engaged, and well-administered workforce that supports the organization’s operational and business objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management: Manage day-to-day HR activities including joining, induction, confirmation, transfer, promotion, and separation processes, along with maintaining employee records and monitoring attendance/leave.
  • Manpower Planning & Recruitment: Plan manpower requirements with departmental heads, manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, and coordinate with contractors/vendors for contract labour.
  • Payroll & Statutory Compliance: Coordinate payroll processing and verification, and ensure compliance with labour laws (PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages), including statutory registers, returns, and audits.
  • Employee Relations & Performance Management: Handle grievances, disciplinary matters, and industrial relations; coordinate performance appraisals and identify training/development needs.
  • Training, Administration & Employee Welfare: Organize training programs, oversee general plant administration (housekeeping, security, transport, canteen), and support safety and employee welfare initiatives.

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and applicable labour laws and statutory compliance requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to lead, guide, and manage HR teams while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess situations objectively and make sound, timely decisions
  • Competent in MS Excel, Word, and HR/Payroll systems for record-keeping, reporting, and process management
  • High level of discretion in handling sensitive employee and company information with professionalism and trust
  • Strong ability to maintain accurate HR records, registers, and prepare clear, well-structured reports for management
  • Skilled in managing employee grievances and difficult situations calmly, fairly, and professionally

Special Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience handling PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, and Gratuity compliance, including statutory registers, returns, filings, and audits
  • Proven experience in handling employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and coordinating with contractors/vendors for contract labour compliance
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing/plant environment, with exposure to general administration functions such as housekeeping, security, transport, and canteen management
