A leading wiring harness manufacturing company specializing in the design, development, and production of high-quality cable assemblies and electrical wiring solutions for diverse industrial applications.

Position Overview:

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for leading all procurement and sourcing functions at the Chakan facility. This role is central to ensuring uninterrupted material availability, cost-efficient supplier management, and strategic vendor development in alignment with the company’s production and business objectives. The incumbent will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Stores to drive procurement excellence and working capital optimization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
• MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain or Operations preferred
• Proficiency in ERP systems used for procurement and inventory management
• Sound understanding of automotive component sourcing and wiring harness supply chains

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute robust procurement strategies aligned with production requirements and business goals
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, bought-out parts, consumables, tools, and services to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations
• Lead commercial negotiations and drive annual cost reduction initiatives to achieve savings targets
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance on Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) parameters
• Ensure seamless production continuity through proactive material planning and cross-functional coordination
• Drive localization efforts and alternate source development to strengthen supply chain resilience
• Coordinate effectively with Production, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Stores teams for end-to-end procurement alignment
• Monitor inventory levels and implement working capital optimization strategies
• Ensure strict compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, and audit requirements
• Lead vendor audits, periodic reviews, and supplier improvement programs to maintain and elevate supply chain standards

Special Requirements:
