Position Overview:

The organization is seeking an experienced Production Planning & Control Head to lead its planning function and ensure seamless alignment between production capacity, material availability, and customer delivery commitments. This role is central to optimizing manufacturing efficiency, minimizing bottlenecks, and driving on-time delivery performance. The incumbent will lead the PPC team, work cross-functionally with Sales, Dispatch, and Production, and play a key role in strengthening operational excellence across the plant.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Production, Operations, or a related field.
• MBA/PGDM in Operations or Production Management preferred.
• 8–15 years of relevant experience in PPC, Production Planning, or Operations, ideally within an electrical or industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage production schedules aligned with customer orders, plant capacity, and delivery timelines.
• Plan material requirements and optimize machine and manpower utilization to support uninterrupted production flow.
• Monitor daily production output against targets and proactively resolve deviations.
• Coordinate closely with Sales and Dispatch teams to ensure customer delivery commitments are consistently met.
• Maintain accurate planning data in ERP systems and generate MIS reports for management review.
• Lead, mentor, and train the PPC team to achieve departmental goals and performance standards.

Skills Required:

• Core expertise in production scheduling and planning process management.
• Strong working knowledge of BOM, MRP, routing, and capacity/resource planning to prevent production bottlenecks.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and advanced MS Excel for planning data management and reporting.
• Proven leadership and cross-functional coordination skills to drive on-time delivery outcomes.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring a PPC team toward defined departmental objectives.
• Hands-on expertise in end-to-end production planning and control within a manufacturing setup.
• Strong command over BOM, MRP, and capacity/material planning principles.
• Strong analytical orientation with a track record of resolving planning and production deviations effectively.
