Company Profile:

A leading wiring harness manufacturing company specializing in the design, development, and production of high-quality cable assemblies and electrical wiring solutions for diverse industrial applications.

Position Overview:

The organization is looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead its wiring harness manufacturing operations at its Chakan, Pune facility. The role holds direct responsibility for production planning, process control, quality output, and team leadership, ensuring the plant consistently meets delivery, quality, and efficiency targets. The Production Manager will play a key role in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the shop floor.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related field
• 7–8 years of experience in a production management role within the wiring harness manufacturing industry
• Proven track record of managing shop-floor operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute production plans and coordinate with PPC, Stores, QA, and Dispatch to ensure 100% on-time delivery
• Monitor line performance and OEE, ensuring optimum machine utilization while minimizing losses and rework
• Oversee key wiring harness processes including crimping, splicing, connector assembly, and continuity testing
• Ensure zero customer complaints and drive Kaizen, 5S, and Poka-Yoke initiatives across the production floor
• Lead and manage production teams, preparing daily production and OEE reports for management review

Skills Required:

• Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop a production team
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment relevant to wiring harness production
• Strong decision-making and analytical ability to monitor production metrics and drive improvements
• Effective communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization and cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with quality control procedures, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices

Special Requirements:

• Proficiency in production management software and tools such as SAP Business One and MRP systems
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and other core quality standards
• Candidates with a background in wiring harness manufacturing are highly preferable
