Company Details: A company established that manufactures power and distribution transformers used in electricity networks. It supplies reliable electrical equipment to government and private sector customers across India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with the purchase department for timely availability of raw materials and bought-out items. Monitor inventory levels and implement effective material control to avoid shortages or overstocking. - Order Execution Monitoring
Track the progress of each order from design release to final dispatch.Identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions to avoid delays.Ensure adherence to production timelines without compromising quality. - Resource Optimization Improve production efficiency by monitoring machine utilization and manpower productivity. Suggest process improvements for cost reduction and faster execution.
- Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily/weekly/monthly PPC reports on order status, delays, and production performance. Share production progress updates with management and relevant teams.Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams.
Work closely with design, procurement, quality control, and dispatch teams for smooth order flow.
Support service teams for urgent or priority orders. - Market & Customer Commitment Alignment
Ensure production schedules align with customer delivery requirements.
Provide accurate delivery timelines to the sales team based on real-time production capacity.
Skills Required:
- Production Planning Expertise: Strong hands-on capability in preparing and managing multi-order production schedules in a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing Process Knowledge: Practical understanding of transformer manufacturing stages — winding, core assembly, tank fabrication, testing, and dispatch cycles
- ERP / MRP Proficiency: Experience working with production planning modules in ERP systems; ability to generate and analyse production reports
- Material & Inventory Control: Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate material requirements to ensure zero production stoppages
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify bottlenecks, interpret production data, and take swift corrective decisions
- Cross-functional Coordination: Strong interpersonal and coordination skills to work effectively with design, quality, procurement, and dispatch teams
- Reporting & Documentation Discipline: Consistent in maintaining accurate production records, delay logs, and management dashboards
- Time Management & Prioritisation: Ability to manage multiple concurrent orders with varying delivery commitments and resource constraints
