Position Overview:
The Production Planning Executive will be responsible for developing and managing production plans that align manufacturing capacity with customer demand. This role is critical to ensuring timely delivery, efficient resource utilization, and smooth cross-functional coordination across the production ecosystem. The incumbent will directly influence operational efficiency, delivery performance, and overall production reliability within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Production Engineering
- Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems preferred
- Practical exposure to production planning functions in a manufacturing setup
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer demand and available capacity
- Coordinate closely with Purchase, Stores, Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations
- Prepare accurate production reports, update ERP/MRP systems, and maintain comprehensive planning records
- Ensure strict compliance with quality standards, safety procedures, and ISO requirements throughout the production cycle
- Schedule production activities to ensure timely delivery while optimizing the use of available resources
- Identify production bottlenecks and recommend practical process improvements
- Monitor production progress, inventory levels, and material availability to proactively avoid delays
Skills Required:
- Demonstrated experience in Production Planning & Scheduling
- Hands-on knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
- Strong inventory management capabilities
- Working proficiency in ERP software for planning and reporting
- Advanced MS Excel skills for data tracking and analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and cross-departmental coordination skills
- Sound time management and prioritization skills
- Disciplined approach to reporting and documentation
Special Requirements:
- Proven ability to schedule production for timely delivery and efficient resource use
- Demonstrated capability in identifying bottlenecks and recommending process improvements
- Experience monitoring production progress, inventory, and material availability to prevent delays
- Candidates with bulk manufacturing experience are preferred
