Position Overview:
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for day-to-day shop floor operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining discipline, safety standards, and workflow efficiency. This role plays a critical part in coordinating manpower, monitoring productivity, and acting as the execution link between management and the production team.
Qualifications:
Any Graduate from a recognized institution
Technical or manufacturing exposure will be an added advantage
Basic understanding of production processes and shop-floor operations
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily production activities on the shop floor to meet planned output and timelines
Allocate tasks effectively to technicians, helpers, and machine operators based on workload and skill level
Monitor workforce attendance, discipline, and adherence to operational standards
Train new workers on production processes, work instructions, and electrical safety norms
Ensure coordination with Store, Purchase, Testing, and Quality teams for uninterrupted production flow
Prepare daily production reports and communicate updates to management
Identify production issues and implement immediate corrective actions to minimize downtime
Skills Required:
Hands-on experience in sheet metal manufacturing operations
Strong communication skills for workforce supervision and cross-department coordination
Ability to prepare and maintain production and manpower reports
Practical problem-solving skills to handle shop-floor challenges efficiently
Basic understanding of safety protocols and process discipline
Special Requirements:
Prior experience supervising technicians, helpers, and operators on the shop floor is mandatory
Ability to coordinate closely with Store, Purchase, Testing, and Quality departments
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with direct manpower handling
