Position Overview:
The Sales & Marketing Manager will serve as the primary driver of commercial growth for the organization — responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, expanding the customer base, and managing key accounts within the B2B electrical manufacturing sector. This role demands a technically aware, commercially sharp professional who can bridge customer requirements with internal engineering and production capabilities. The incumbent will lead the sales team, own revenue targets, and represent the organization across market-facing activities — directly impacting business profitability and market share expansion.
Qualifications:
- BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related Engineering discipline mandatory
- MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing will be a significant added advantage
- 5–10 years of progressive experience in B2B sales and marketing within the electrical manufacturing or transformer industry
- Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue targets and growing customer base in a manufacturing environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales & marketing strategies aligned with annual business targets and revenue growth objectives
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, untapped market segments, and prospective customers across industrial and utility sectors
- Manage key accounts with a focus on relationship continuity, revenue maximization, and long-term customer retention
- Prepare, present, and follow up on technical quotations, commercial proposals, and contract negotiations to drive order closure
- Coordinate closely with design, production, quality, and projects teams to ensure accurate and timely order execution
- Plan and execute integrated marketing activities including digital campaigns, industry exhibitions, client engagement visits, and promotional initiatives
- Analyse market trends, competitor movements, and evolving customer requirements to refine the organization’s commercial positioning
- Lead, guide, and monitor the performance of the sales team against defined KPIs, monthly targets, and revenue benchmarks
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, MIS reports, and periodic performance reviews for senior management review
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive complaint resolution, relationship management, and timely payment collection
Skills Required:
- Strong domain knowledge of sales and marketing practices within the manufacturing or electrical equipment industry, particularly in B2B contexts
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and technical presentation skills suited to institutional and industrial customers
- Proven ability to build, sustain, and strategically grow customer relationships across diverse business segments
- Strategic thinking combined with a disciplined, target-oriented approach to sales execution and pipeline management
- Effective cross-functional coordination with internal departments including production, design, quality, and finance
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM tools for pipeline tracking, reporting, and customer data management
Special Requirements:
- Demonstrated achievement of sales and revenue targets specifically within B2B manufacturing sales environments is mandatory
- Proven track record of growing customer base and increasing market share in a competitive industrial or electrical sector
- Strong focus on order conversion ratio with disciplined follow-up, proposal management, and commercial acumen
- Prior experience in current transformer, power equipment, or electrical manufacturing sales will be strongly preferred
- Candidates must be comfortable with client visits, field engagement, and exhibition participation as part of the role scope
