Position Overview:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in industries that rely on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. The role combines technical expertise with strong sales acumen to promote products, build client relationships, and drive revenue growth across assigned territories and sectors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 1 to 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in hydraulic, pneumatic, or industrial automation products
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential customers in industries utilizing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Promote hydraulic and pneumatic products including pumps, valves, cylinders, and FRL units to target clients
- Conduct product presentations and system demonstrations to prospective customers
- Prepare quotations, manage follow-ups, and close sales orders effectively
- Coordinate with suppliers for technical and commercial support
- Visit client sites for meetings, troubleshooting assistance, and post-sales support
- Develop a thorough understanding of product systems, components, and technologies
- Maintain accurate sales records, prepare sales reports, and forecast future sales targets
Skills Required:
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic products and systems
- Strong sales and business development skills with a results-oriented approach
- Effective customer relationship management and client-handling capabilities
- Strong reporting, forecasting, and sales planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Special Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, manage customer requirements, and drive business growth in industrial sectors
- In-depth understanding of technical aspects of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components
- Must be willing to undertake regular client-site visits across the assigned territory
- Prior exposure to industrial automation or fluid power product sales will be an added advantage
