Position Overview:
The Project Incharge will be responsible for end-to-end execution of mechanical projects within the manufacturing or industrial setup. This role demands a proactive professional who can independently manage project timelines, coordinate resources, ensure quality compliance, and deliver results aligned with client and organizational standards. The position plays a critical role in ensuring seamless project delivery from initiation through commissioning.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Foundational understanding of project execution workflows in manufacturing, EPC, or MEP contracting environments
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, schematics, and shop floor documentation
- Ability to interpret technical layouts including piping networks, structural designs, or equipment configurations
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Execution & Planning: Own the complete project lifecycle — from scope definition and scheduling to on-site execution — ensuring timely and quality-driven delivery
- Resource & Manpower Management: Coordinate and deploy manpower efficiently across project phases; monitor workforce productivity and ensure adequate resource availability at all times
- Budget & Cost Control: Track project expenditures against approved budgets; identify cost-saving opportunities and flag deviations with corrective action plans
- Quality & Compliance: Enforce adherence to engineering standards, safety protocols, and client specifications throughout the project duration
- Testing & Commissioning: Oversee pre-commissioning checks, functional testing, and final handover of systems including mechanical equipment, piping, or industrial machinery
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project records including progress reports, material trackers, inspection logs, and closeout documentation for internal and client review
Skills Required:
- Design Software Proficiency: Hands-on working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent design tools for reviewing schematics, layouts, and shop drawings
- Domain Knowledge: Sound understanding of structures, piping networks, pumps, chillers, or heavy industrial machinery relevant to the automotive/ancillary manufacturing environment
- Project Management Tools: Practical command of MS Office suite and basic project tracking or scheduling tools
- Analytical Ability: Capable of identifying on-site challenges and executing timely, logical solutions to keep project delivery on track
- Coordination & Communication: Effective in liaising with internal teams, vendors, contractors, and client-side stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression
Special Requirements:
- Progressively responsible experience in mechanical project execution, specifically within manufacturing, EPC, or MEP contracting setups is strongly preferred
- Candidates with exposure to automotive OEM supply chain environments or industrial paint shop infrastructure will be given priority consideration
- Must be willing to work on-site at Ambad MIDC, Nashik on a full-time basis
- Physically fit and comfortable with regular shop floor presence and site supervision responsibilities
