Position Overview:
The company is seeking a detail-oriented MIS Executive to manage end-to-end reporting and data analysis across production, inventory, sales, dispatch, and procurement functions. The role is critical to enabling accurate, timely, and data-driven decision-making for management, through robust dashboards, ERP data reconciliation, and continuous reporting automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in MIS reporting, data analysis, and dashboard management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports using Google Sheets and Excel, ensuring timely delivery to stakeholders.
- Build and manage advanced Google Sheets dashboards (QUERY, FILTER, VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, ARRAYFORMULA, IMPORTRANGE) consolidating data into a single real-time view.
- Analyze production, inventory, sales, dispatch, and procurement data to identify trends and support management decisions.
- Automate recurring reports to reduce turnaround time and minimize errors.
- Ensure data accuracy through validation and reconciliation against source systems.
- Extract and compile ERP data (production, inventory, dispatch, procurement) and coordinate with production, stores, quality, and dispatch teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Support production planning, stock reconciliation, and material movement tracking.
- Prepare analytical reports on downtime, wastage, and productivity to support continuous improvement.
Skills Required:
- Advanced Spreadsheet Proficiency: Strong hands-on expertise in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, conditional formatting, data visualization through charts/graphs, and dashboard building.
- Database & Query Knowledge: Basic understanding of SQL for querying and extracting data from databases, along with foundational knowledge of data analysis concepts such as data cleaning, normalization, and summarization.
- ERP System Familiarity: Working knowledge of ERP systems (ERPNext preferred), specifically from a reporting and data-extraction standpoint, including navigating modules related to inventory, production, and procurement.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret large datasets, spot trends/anomalies, and translate raw data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and diligence when handling numerical data, given the direct impact on business decisions.
- Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present data findings and reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management, verbally and in writing.
- Time Management: Capable of managing multiple recurring reporting deadlines simultaneously without compromising accuracy.
Special Requirements:
- Timely and accurate MIS reporting is the core deliverable, as management decisions depend on dashboards and reports being correct and on schedule.
- Data accuracy in ERP and reconciliation is critical, since errors here cascade into wrong stock, dispatch, or planning decisions.
- Report turnaround time reflects the speed of generating and delivering ad-hoc and recurring reports without compromising accuracy.
