Position Overview:

The Mechatronics Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sales of mechatronics systems and robotic automation solutions. The role bridges technical expertise and commercial acumen engaging clients from requirement identification through solution design, proposal preparation, and deal closure, while collaborating with internal presales and applications teams for end-to-end customer satisfaction.


Qualifications:

  • B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in mechatronics systems, robotic automation, or industrial applications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients across target industries
  • Identify potential clients, present tailored solutions, negotiate deals, and manage follow-ups
  • Collaborate with applications and presales teams to develop and deliver sustainable automation solutions
  • Prepare technical proposals and supporting documentation for mechatronic solutions
  • Evaluate customer requirements and recommend optimal solutions for pressing and robotic pick-and-place applications
  • Coordinate with design and production teams to ensure timely implementation of customized automation projects
  • Assist in presales activities including product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions

Skills Required:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, application-oriented mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and presales interactions
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic project documentation
  • Ability to understand and translate complex customer requirements into viable technical proposals
  • Strong stakeholder coordination and client relationship management capabilities

Special Requirements:

  • Prior experience in sales of mechatronics systems such as servo presses, Cartesian gantries, robots, and SPMs is preferred
  • Knowledge of robotics platforms, pneumatic systems, and motion control is required
  • Candidate must be comfortable with regular client-site visits and field-based sales activities
