Position Overview:
The organization is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to take complete ownership of the end-to-end quality function, spanning incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality, as well as customer and supplier quality. This role is central to sustaining IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 compliance, driving customer satisfaction through structured problem-solving, and leading audit readiness across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong automotive quality systems expertise and the leadership to embed a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Production / Industrial Engineering).
- 10–15 years of quality leadership experience in Wiring Harness, Automotive Components, or Tier-1/Tier-2 Automotive Manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ownership of quality systems, audits, and customer/supplier quality functions in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IQC, IPQC, OQC, QA, Customer Quality and Supplier Quality functions — overall ownership of the end-to-end quality function.
- Drive customer complaint resolution through 8D, CAPA and Root Cause Analysis — direct impact on customer satisfaction and PPM.
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and Customer Specific Requirements — core to maintaining automotive certification and customer trust.
- Lead internal, external, customer and certification audits — critical for sustaining compliance and audit scores.
Skills Required:
- IATF 16949 — Strong working knowledge of automotive quality system requirements and their practical implementation.
- FMEA — Skilled in identifying potential failure modes and defining preventive actions.
- 8D — Strong problem-solving skills using structured root cause analysis techniques.
- CAPA — Ability to drive corrective and preventive actions effectively to closure.
- Automotive Core Tools — Combined proficiency in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA for automotive quality management.
Special Requirements:
- Strong expertise in IATF 16949 and Automotive Core Quality Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
- Proven experience managing Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, QA, QC, and Audit Compliance.
- Hands-on expertise in 8D, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, and Quality Problem Solving.
- Experience driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Quality Improvement.
