Backed by strong engineering expertise and a trusted market presence, the organization continues to expand its footprint through consistent quality, innovation, and business growth.

Position Overview:

The company is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to manage end-to-end IT operations across its manufacturing facility. The role is central to ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of IT helpdesk support, networking infrastructure, basic server administration, and ERP system reliability. The incumbent will play a key role in minimizing production downtime by ensuring consistent uptime of IT systems and providing timely resolution of technical issues across departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in IT support, networking, and basic server administration, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Support

  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, printers, email, and ERP applications.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Resolve issues related to operating systems, office applications, and business software.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issue resolution and maintenance.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and document support activities.

Networking Support

  • Monitor and troubleshoot LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and network devices.
  • Configure and maintain routers, switches, access points, and network printers.
  • Manage user access, IP addressing, and basic network security practices.
  • Coordinate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to resolve connectivity issues.
  • Ensure uptime of network services to support production and office operations.

Server Administration (Basic)

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and monitoring of Windows and Linux servers.
  • Manage user accounts, shared folders, and access permissions.
  • Perform routine server health checks and monitor storage utilization.
  • Support data backup and restoration activities.
  • Coordinate with ERP and application support teams for server-related issues.
  • Maintain working knowledge of virtualization, remote access tools, and server security best practices.

Manufacturing Sector Support

  • Support ERP systems (uptime, access, and technical functioning) for production, inventory, dispatch, and procurement processes.
  • Coordinate with production, stores, quality, and dispatch teams to resolve system-related issues.
  • Ensure availability and reliability of IT systems to minimize production downtime.

Skills Required:

  • IT Helpdesk & Asset Management: Ability to diagnose hardware, software, and connectivity issues within SLA; track devices, warranties, and access across the employee lifecycle.
  • Networking & Server Administration: Proficiency in troubleshooting LAN/WAN issues; managing user accounts, permissions, and health checks on Windows and Linux systems.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets & SQL Basics: Skilled in building formulas, dashboards, and reports using filtering and grouping logic (e.g., QUERY) on large datasets.
  • ERP Knowledge (ERPNext preferred): Understanding of how production, inventory, and dispatch modules connect to support users and reconcile data.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Ability to diagnose vague technical complaints accurately and explain fixes in plain language to non-technical staff.

Special Requirements:

  • Consistent resolution of IT tickets within defined SLA timelines — the primary measure of day-to-day support quality.
  • Strong focus on network and system uptime, given its direct impact on production continuity.
  • Accurate and up-to-date asset register management, including device tracking and warranty status.
