Position Overview:

The Assistant Store Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the store, driving sales performance, and upholding service excellence. This position demands a hands-on retail professional who can lead from the floor, align the team with business objectives, and ensure every customer interaction reflects the brand’s standard of quality. The role offers a structured growth pathway within a reputed retail organization.


Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree preferred (any discipline)
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in retail, fashion, or branded apparel store operations
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or team lead capacity is an advantage
  • Familiarity with retail management systems and point-of-sale (POS) processes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Store Manager in planning and executing smooth daily store operations
  • Supervise, guide, and motivate the sales team on the floor to maximize productivity and performance
  • Deliver a consistently excellent customer experience by maintaining high service standards at all touchpoints
  • Oversee store cleanliness, product displays, and visual merchandising in alignment with brand guidelines
  • Address customer queries, concerns, and escalations in a prompt and professional manner
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily sales reports and operational updates to the Store Manager
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies, SOPs, and retail compliance protocols

Skills Required:

  • Proven ability in team supervision with a collaborative and performance-driven approach
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle diverse client interactions effectively
  • Demonstrated sales support capabilities with a results-focused mindset
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and stock replenishment processes
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder coordination
  • Sound problem-solving skills to handle floor-level challenges independently and efficiently
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end retail store operations in a branded environment

Special Requirements:

  • Actively monitor inventory levels and assist with timely stock management and replenishment
  • Support staff training initiatives, shift scheduling, and day-to-day performance monitoring
  • Contribute meaningfully to store sales targets and overall business growth objectives
  • Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as per store schedule
  • Prior exposure to fashion, apparel, or lifestyle retail brands will be considered an advantage
