Position Overview:
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets are met with optimal quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with safety standards. This role plays a critical part in improving productivity, managing shop-floor operations, and leading production teams to achieve consistent output and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production operations to achieve planned output, quality, and efficiency targets
Improve productivity through process optimization, waste reduction, and cost control initiatives
Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and applicable regulatory requirements
Lead, guide, and develop production teams to improve performance and accountability
Coordinate with supply chain, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure uninterrupted production
Monitor production schedules and ensure the timely completion of manufacturing orders
Handle shop-floor challenges effectively, including manpower management and operational issues
Skills Required:
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities for production challenges
Excellent analytical and decision-making skills to improve operational performance
Hands-on experience in process improvement and change management initiatives
Practical knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Kaizen, and Kanban systems
Strong leadership and people management skills in a manufacturing environment
Effective communication and stakeholder coordination across departments
