Position Overview:
The Operation Head will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across production functions. This role is critical in ensuring smooth plant operations, optimizing processes, improving productivity, and aligning cross-functional teams with business goals. The incumbent will directly influence operational efficiency, quality standards, cost control, and team performance.
Qualifications:
B.Tech / M.Tech in relevant engineering discipline
MBA in Production or Operations Management
Formal training or exposure to Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Kanban methodologies
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and compliance frameworks
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end strategic and operational planning for production and plant operations
Drive process optimization and efficiency improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs
Oversee team leadership and performance management, ensuring skill development and workforce effectiveness
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, maintenance, finance, and supply chain
Ensure adherence to risk management, compliance, and quality standards across operations
Monitor and analyze operational KPIs to support continuous improvement and decision-making
Implement structured training and development programs to strengthen operational capabilities
Skills Required:
Proven leadership experience in a Manager or Head-level operational role within manufacturing
Strong understanding of ERP systems and operational analytics tools for data-driven decisions
Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and operational planning
Hands-on knowledge of process improvement frameworks such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Kanban
Ability to manage measuring tools, quality systems, and compliance processes
Strategic thinking with strong execution and people management capabilities
Special Requirements:
Preference for candidates currently designated as Supervisor, Manager, or Operations Head
Mandatory experience in process and efficiency management, team leadership, and quality compliance
Practical exposure to ERP systems, measuring tools, and training & development initiatives
